John joined Clarion University as Director of the Office of Institutional Research in January 2006. He holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education (2004), a graduate certificate in Institutional Research (2002), a M.S. in Agricultural Economics (1994) and a M.S. in Policy Analysis (1993), all from The Pennsylvania State University. His undergraduate degree is a B.B.A. in Finance, which he earned from St. Bonaventure University in 1984. His doctoral thesis was "The Impact of Honors Programs on Undergraduate Retention and Graduation." J. Fredericks Volkwein was the thesis chair and Patrick T. Terenzini, Irwin Feller, and Robert D. Reason served as the other committee members. Results of his study have been published in the National Collegiate Honors Council Journal and also presented at the 2005 Annual Forum of the Association for Institutional Research (San Diego, CA).

Linda has worked in the office of institutional research since 1987, beginning shortly after the research function was established at Clarion University. Linda has a bachelor of science in business administration from Clarion. In addition to her duties of data coordinator, she will maintain this new website as it progresses. |
