Don't See an Organization That Interests You?
Any group of Clarion Students interested in forming a new student organization can initiate the recognition process by scheduling a meeting with a designee of the Office of Campus Life to discuss the group's purpose, constitution, and rights and responsibilities. After the meeting, the students will complete and submit the Application for Recognition along with a copy of the group's constitution. The Student Senate Rules and Regulations Committee will then review all materials submitted and make suggestions for revisions.
Once the constitution has been approved, recognition will be considered by the Student Senate. A representative from the potential RSO must be present at that time. Following the meeting, a letter will be sent to the representatives of the organization either granting or denying recognition.
For more information on starting a new RSO, please contact Shawn Hoke, by phone (814-393-2714) or by email (shoke@clarion.edu).
