Nineteen Clarion University faculty members were honored at the Faculty Promotion and Tenure Recognition Celebration held in Level A, Carlson Library.

"The importance of tenure and promotion from the perspective of the university is that it is the most serious thing we can say to one another," said Clarion UniversityPresident Joseph Grunenwald. "It says what is good about the work you do and that you have been with us a very long time. You work hard and productively. You are good, solid people, leading and teaching by doing. One of my proudest decisions is when I award promotion and tenure."

Dr. Valentine James, Clarion University Provost, announced the names of those promoted and tenured.
"This is quite an honor," said James. "It is a pleasure to introduce those who have done so well to push back ignorance in your field and recognize the passion you bring to your jobs. I want to say thank you for all you have done."
