Online Non-Degree Prerequisite Programs in Radiologic Technology and Sonography

Rad Sci with Dr.

These non-degree programs have been designed to meet all or some of the general education credit requirements for students attending hospital-based radiologic technology or sonography programs.

Clarion University's online non-degree radiologic technology prerequisite program and online non-degree sonography prerequisite program are intended for individuals who are not immediately seeking an academic degree.  Instead, these programs are appropriate for individuals who desire to attend a two-year hospital-based radiologic technology or sonography program.  Hospital-based programs do not award an academic degree but still require enrolled students to complete some college-level course work.

Courses may be taken before or during enrollment in the individual’s hospital-based radiologic technology or sonography program of choice. However, before enrolling in Clarion courses, students should first consult with the program director of the hospital-based radiologic technology or sonography program that they hope to attend. The program director will be able to provide information on any unique program specifications regarding prerequisite and/or general education course requirements.

Completion of post-secondary general education courses, such as those in Clarion's online non-degree prerequisite radiologic technology or sonography programs, may demonstrate academic adeptness and thus facilitate formal acceptance to a hospital-based program.  However, completion of Clarion’s prerequisite programs does not guarantee admission to a hospital-based radiologic technology or sonography program.
