WHAT WE DO
These responsibilities of the Coalition are defined under HRSA AIDS Part B programs.
NEEDS ASSESSMENTS: The Coalition must conduct an assessment of the unmet HIV service needs of the geographic area to be served that examines the present and future HIV epidemic and existing community resources (e.g. fiscal, personnel, and program resources from public, private, and volunteer services.)
PRIORITY SETTING: The Coalition must develop service delivery plans to address identified care and service needs. Planning groups identify HIV prevention needs and identify specific priority setting interventions and strategies to address needs by defined populations.
STRATEGIC PLAN DEVELOPMENT: The Coalition must establish service care plans to ensure the delivery of the services to meet identified needs.
EVALUATION: The Coalition evaluates the success of the planning process in meeting needs and the cost effectiveness of the mechanisms employed to meet needs.
MISSION
The Coalition is formed to create, implement, and evaluate a regional strategic plan to promote the development and coordination of comprehensive, holistic services to individuals infected with and affected by HIV in Northwestern Pennsylvania.
VISION
We envision a caring organization dedicated to involving all communities in facilitating the provision of quality services and care, making them accessible to all people with HIV/AIDS until there is a cure.
