Official transcripts are maintained in the Office of the Registrar. In order to protect students' privacy rights, we must receive a signed, written request before releasing transcripts. Transcript requests may NOT be requested by phone or email.
Transcripts can be requested in person in the Office of the Registrar, 122 Carrier Administration. In most cases, transcripts can be taken with you. Transcripts may also be ordered by mailing, scanning, or faxing a written request. Requests by fax should be sent to (814) 393-2039 (please do not include a coversheet). Requests by a scanned wrriten request should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. Requests by mail should be sent to:

Transcript delivery methods include regular mail, pick-up in person (photo ID is required), and electronic delivery.
Electronic transcript delivery is a delivery method Clarion is offering via eSCRIP-SAFE. Transcripts to institutions that are participating in the eSCRIP-SAFE network will be delivered electronically. To see a list of institutions that we can send electronic transcripts to, view the eSCRIP-SAFE network membership list. If the institution is not on this list or if you would like your transcript sent to an individual, please provide the name and email address of the recipient and we will deliver it electronically through eSCRIP-SAFE's out of network service. *This service is ONLY available for students who attended Fall 1985 to present.*
You can request transcripts using the Transcript Request Form (PDF) or by mailing or faxing a written request which includes the following information:
- full name, the name under which you attended (and any name changes since)
- Clarion ID or social security number
- dates of attendance or graduation
- daytime telephone number
- current address
- complete mailing address where transcript should be sent (specify department or person to whom transcript should be addressed)
- transcripts CANNOT BE FAXED OR EMAILED, if the transcript is being sent directly to you to forward to a third party, please indicate if you would like it sent in a sealed envelope
- your signature (transcripts CANNOT be processed without signature)
No fee is required with your request, therefore there is a limit of THREE (3) TRANSCRIPTS PER REQUEST AND ONLY ONE REQUEST PER DAY. Multiple daily requests will not be honored or held.
Transcripts cannot be released for anyone with holds on their account for unpaid fees, materials not returned or some other obligation to the University until the hold has been properly resolved with the appropriate department and the Office of the Registrar has been notified.
Transcripts from Other Institutions: Student transcripts from previously-attended institutions that were provided for admissions consideration become the property of Clarion University and are considered
official only at the time of receipt. Clarion University does not provide copies of transcripts from other institutions that are part of a student's education record. In order to obtain accurate up-to-date information and assure that no protocol of the issuing institution is circumvented, a student must contact the originating school for a copy of that transcript.
