The Clarion University Distinguished Awards recognizes outstanding professional and public service achievements by Clarion graduates and community members. All Clarion alumni are invited to the ceremony. ($75/person)

Planetarium show 
Pierce Planetarium, 7 p.m.-8 p.m.

A complimentary planetarium show titled “Dawn of Astronomy” will be offered to all alumni and family.  It’s appropriate for all ages so families are welcome.  The show will trace the beginnings of astronomy in ancient Egypt, ancient Babylon, and ancient Britain.   The show highlights the great pyramids of ancient Egypt, and Stonehenge. (SOLD OUT)

Mix and mingle
Moore Hall, 7 p.m.-11 p.m.
If you are looking for a place to unwind and meet up with great friends, join us in Moore Hall for a casual atmosphere, with appetizers,drinks and music from our very own alumni, Robyn Young '94. (Free)

Family movie night
Gemmell student complex outside, 8 p.m.-11 p.m.
Join us for a family-friendly movie under the stars on the beautiful Clarion campus. Snacks are provided and surprises are promised. (Free)

Casual attire
All alumni and friends of the College of Business are invited to reunite with old friends, colleagues, former faculty and deans. An open house and complimentary brunch will be held in Still Hall’s new student lounge. Hosted by the College of Business Dean, Dr. Phillip Frese. (Free)

Join us to honor alumni celebrating their 25th and 50th class reunions.Classmates in the 50th reunion (Class of 1964) will be inducted into the Half Century club and the 25th reunion(Class of 1989) will be recognized at the all- alumni luncheon. ($30/person)

'The Big Warm - Part Deux'

Ice cream with Ernie

107/108 Eagle Commons and outdoors, 2:30 p.m.-4 p.m.
Join Ernie the Eagle for an ice cream social! Parents and kids are encouraged to participate in activities including arts & crafts,face painting, games and much more. A special appearance will be made by Jimmy Swogger and friends. Get your picture taken with Ernie the Eagle on the red carpet. Enjoy an afternoon ice cream snack and load it with your favorite goodies. (Free)

Haunted History presentation   
Hart Chapel, 3:30 p.m.

Dr. Todd Pfannestiel will share tales of Clarion’s past and the ghosts that remain in its present. Stories are based on historical events on campus, with the audience left to decide if the unexplained occurrences are paranormal in nature. (Free)

Honors Alumni Reception
Art Gallery, 3:30p.m.-5p.m.
Past honors students, stop by to enjoy refreshments and talk with current and former honors directors and faculty. (Free)

Communication Alumni Reception
Becker Hall, Studio B, 4p.m.-5p.m.
Calling all communication,speech communication, mass media and debate alumni.  Revisit your old stomping grounds while enjoying some light refreshments. (Free)

Campus tours      
Campus, 2 p.m.-4:30 p.m.
Whether you graduated in 1958 or 2008, campus has changed since Clarion was your home. Guided or non guided tours of campus are available. Don't miss these opportunities to reacquaint yourself with your alma mater! Stroll around campus on a guided or non-guided tour to visit the old and check out the new at Clarion University. (Free)

Babysitting activity

Let your children (ages 4 to 12) enjoy themselves while you celebrate at Alumni-Fest. Pizza,games and activities. Students will be available to entertain. ($5 per child)

Alumni-Fest: Picnic/Complimentary brew and wine tasting/live entertainment

Casual attire
As we wind down alumni weekend, enjoy complimentary samples of locally made brews and wines at Alumni-fest. Your ticket will include “A Taste of Clarion"-featuring local eateries, live entertainment from Jimmy Swogger and Friends, and alumnus Luke Zacherl (’04) will return to campus during Alumni Weekend, with his band, NOMaD, to perform during Alumni Fest. The popular Ellwood City-based band, described as hard-rocking country, includes Zacherl on fiddle, David August on lead vocals, Jay Pfeifer on guitar, Bobby Kunkel on drums, George Elliott on bass and “Suitcase” Johnny Waclo on guitar   All attendees receive a commemorative alumni-fest glass. ($25/adult  $10/child)
