Accounting Club
The Accounting Club offers many fun and informative activities to our members. These include monthly regular club meetings which we host business professionals from various firms including BNY Mellon, Carbis Walker, Becker CPA Review, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, KPMG, Ernst and Young, Schneider Downs, Hill, Barth and King, Alpern Rosenthal and ParenteBeard. We also host PICPA and AICPA speakers to speak at our meetings and these meetings give students a chance to get to know their fellow accounting majors, professors and business professionals.
We host a yearly Student Leadership Conference trip sponsored by IMA (Institute of Management Accountants) for all board members to attend. This gives our executive board members an opportunity to meet and network with professionals as well as attend a wide variety of workshops so that students can gain hands-on experience.
Accounting Club hosts an annual banquet that provides students with opportunities to meet business professionals. A number of scholarships are also awarded out through the Accountancy Department Foundation, as well as other external organizations. We also partake in field trips to award winning accounting firms including Alpern Rosenthal, Carbis Walker and ParenteBeard so that students can learn a substantial amount about the firm and the different types of industries that they serve.
This group is for accounting graduates and students of Clarion University. Our objective is to promote communication and professional networking among Clarion accounting and business professionals.
