CarrierThe Office of Information Management and Institutional Research (IMIR) provides information, research, analytical services,  and data analysis that supports evidence based decision-making, strategic planning, accreditation, assessment and maintenance of statistical and historical data records at Clarion University. 

In addition, the office is responsible for providing official data and information about Clarion University for reporting purposes to the state and federal government and to other external agencies (such as US News & World Report, Princeton Review, The College Board and many others). The Office is also responsible for Clarion University’s Common Data Set and online Fact Book, which are both published annually.  The Fact Book contains statistical information about the university by year including:  enrollment data, retention and graduation data, information about faculty and staff, and instructional data. 

To provide broad support of the university's vital efforts we urge our campus clientele, as well as the general public, to use the links provided on this page. The Fact Book can be an excellent resource for many of these initiatives, as well as other links to data available via our landing page. We hope these resources will address many of your data needs, and we invite you to contact us with suggestions. If you are unable to locate what you need, please contact our office for assistance. If you have a special request, you may request analytic support using the form at this link. All ad hoc requests must be submitted using this online form. This does not replace your routine data processing requests through Computing Services.

Due to the high volume of ongoing compliance reporting and research projects IMIR handles, ad hoc data and research requests are responded to on a case-by-case basis according to timing and workload. Please be understanding.

  • National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) for Freshmen and Seniors at Clarion University (conducted every 2 years)

    NSSE collects information at hundreds of four-year colleges and universities about student participation in programs and activities that institutions provide for their learning and personal development. The results provide an estimate of how undergraduates spend their time and what they gain from attending college. Survey items on NSSE represent empirically confirmed "best practices" in undergraduate education. That is, they reflect behaviors by students and institutions that are associated with desired outcomes of college. NSSE doesn’t assess student learning directly, but survey results point to areas where colleges and universities are performing well and aspects of the undergraduate experience that could be improved.
