What is PERC?
The purpose of the Pittsburgh Educational Recruiting Consortium (PERC) Teacher Job Fair is to provide an opportunity for students and alumni of PERC member institutions to meet with school districts offering teaching and education-related job opportunities.
Eligibility Requirements for All Candidates
- You must have (or be receiving before August 31, 2012) an education degree and/or certification; be a candidate for an OT/PT/SLP degree; or a school counseling degree from a college or university participating in the consortium. No exceptions will be made.
- Pre-registered candidates must bring copy of receipt of payment to the event. Walk-in candidates must present a school ID or transcript to gain entrance.
- This web page is only for Clarion University students and alumni. Clarion University is a PERC member.
Instructions for Clarion University Students/Alumni
Please read the following procedures carefully! PERC policy states that your name must appear on the roster of pre-registered and paid Clarion University candidates submitted to PERC by the pre-registration deadline, or you will have to register at the event and pay the $25 walk-in registration fee. Pre-registered candidates should bring copy of receipt as proof of pre-registration.
Pre-Registration
Online Pre-Registration Procedures - $10 payment due March 7, 2012, 4:30 p.m.:
- $10 non-refundable pre-registration fee if pre-registered by March 7, 2012, at 4:30 p.m.
- You are encouraged to use the online registration form to pre-register and pay the $10 pre-registration fee.
- You must have a credit or debit card to register online because you will be required to pay the $10 pre-registration fee using PayPal at the time of registration. Note: If you do not wish to use PayPal, see the Alternate Pre-Registration Procedures below. Do not pre-register online!
- To pre-register online, please go to: http://www.percjobfair.org/registration.php
- After you have submitted the form, you will be redirected to PayPal which will allow you to pay your $10 pre-registration fee.
- After you have successfully paid the fee through PayPal, you will be instructed to print your online confirmation of registration and payment. You MUST take it with you to the event in order to receive entrance into the job fair.
Alternate Pre-Registration Procedures - $10 payment due March 7, 2012, 4:30 p.m.:
- If you do not have a credit or debit card, you can register for the fair through the Career Services Center, 114 Egbert Hall.
- Visit the CSC to complete a Candidate Registration form and submit the $10 pre-registration fee call the Career Services Center for a copy of the registration form which you can submit with the $10 pre-registration fee by mail.
- The Career Services Center will provide you with a receipt as confirmation of your registration and payment of $10. You SHOULD take it with you to the event as proof of registration if your name does not appear on the list at the job fair.
Walk-In Registration Procedures - $25 payment due at the event)
- If you are registering the day of the event, you must meet the eligibility requirements mentioned above.
- You must show a valid student ID or a copy of your transcript at the Walk-In Registration counter.
- You must pay a $25 walk-in registration fee (CASH ONLY).
Free parking is available at the Monroeville Convention Center or at the Monroeville Mall parking lot.

- Merge onto I-76 Pennsylvania Turnpike toward Pittsburgh (Portions toll)
- Take the I-376 W/US-22 W/US-22-BR exit, Exit 57, toward Pittsburgh/Monroeville. 0.8 mi
- Take the US-22-BR exit toward Monroeville. 0.2 mi
- Merge onto William Penn HWY/US-22 BR. 1.5 mi
- Turn Left onto Mall BLVD. 0.5 mi
- 135 Mall BLVD is on the Right
