Student Instructions for Using the MY ACTIVITIES Website

               On this page, you will learn how to

 

          1.  Get your ‘My Activities’ password if you are a first-time user

          2.  Log in

          3.  Create or change your personal profile

          4.  Search for activities

          5.   Sign up for an activity

          6.   Report that you have completed an activity

          7.   Report hours of service that you have provided

          8.   Print an Unofficial Co-Curricular Transcript

          9.   Request an Official Co-Curricular Transcript

          10. Log Out

 

TIPS:

Activities only need to be entered once. For example, if you participate in an activity for the entire year,  you only need to join and report the activity once

While using the My Activities Website, if the Back button does not function properly, you can return to a previous screen by using the ‘Student Menu’ on the left hand panel.

 1.   For First-Time Users

          If this is your first time using the My Activities Website:

 1.      Click on the red ‘First Time Users Click Here’ link.

 2.      Enter your first name, last name, and Clarion e-mail address.  Once you have clicked on ‘Submit,’ a password will be e-mailed to your Clarion e-mail address. 

 3.      Check your Clarion e-mail for an e-mail from My Activities Clarion Recruiter. Your password will be in this e-mail.TOP

 

2.   Logging In

      1.  Click  ‘Student Login’ in the Student Menu on the left.

      2.  Log in using your complete iClarion e-mail address for your user id. Your password may have been
e-mailed to you from My Activities Clarion Recruiter, or it may be a password that you have selected on the ‘Edit Password’ screen.

3.   Creating a Personal Profile

     Click ‘My Profile’ in the Student Menu on the left. From this screen you have several options to
     manage your ‘My Activities’ profile.

     Edit Password

You should change your password to something that you will remember. 

  • Click on the top box containing your password, (the black dots), and type in your new password. 
  •  Click on the second box (the black dots) and re-type your new password to confirm.
  •  Click the save button at the top right of the ‘Edit Password’ screen to save your new password.

      My Interests

 Identifying your interests will allow you to search for activities that match your personal interests. 

  •  Click on the plus sign (+) at the beginning of the ‘My Interests’ tab.
  •   Now check the boxes for areas that interest you personally. For instance, if you enjoy working with animals, you might click ‘Animals’ under ‘Participant Interests’ and ‘Animal Care/Wildlife’ under Activity Interests.’ You can also decide how far you are willing to travel from campus to participate in activities by checking your preferences under the ‘Geographic Preferences’ category. Finally, you can select Recognized Student Organizations in which you may be interested by checking your preferences under the ‘RSO Interests’ category.
  •  Click the save button at the top left of the ‘My Interests’ screen.
  •  After you are done with the ‘My Interests’ tab click the minus sign (-) in the upper left to minimize the ‘My Interests’ lists.

      Experience / Co-Curricular Category

Most activities in the ‘My Activities’ database are associated with specific types of experiences that the activity provides. Identifying your preferred types of experiences will allow you to search for activities that match your personal interests.

  •  Click on the plus sign (+) at the beginning of the ‘Experience/CCT Category’ tab,
  •  Check the boxes for the types of experiences that you would like to gain by participating in activities.
  •  Click the save button at the top left of the ‘Experience/CCT Category’ screen.
  •  After you are done with the ‘Experience/Co-Curricular Category’ tab click the minus sign (-) in the upper left to minimize the ‘Experience/Co-Curricular Category’ list.

       Professional Statement

A very important part of the co-curricular transcript is your professional statement. The professional statement should reflect why you have chosen to participate in co-curricular activities and how your participation has affected you.

  • Click on the plus sign (+) at the beginning of the ‘Professional Statement’ tab.
  • Type your professional statement in the text box. If you do not have anything to type in at this time, you can just type in your name. This box cannot be left empty. 
  • Click the ‘Save’ button at the top left of the “Professional Statement’ screen. TOP

 

4.   Searching for Activities

After you click ‘Activity Search’ in the student menu on the left, you have several options.  You can search for all current activities posted in the My Activities database by clicking on ‘Search All Activities.'  You can narrow your search by clicking on ‘Search Activities that Match My Profile’ to find activities that match the categories you selected under the ‘My Interests’ and ‘Experience/Co-Curricular Category’ checklists in your profile. You can also search for an activity that matches just one personal interest by selecting any of the options at the bottom of the screen under ‘Quick Search on Specific Options.’

  • Click ‘Activity Search’ in the ‘Student Menu’ on the left
  •  Choose any search criteria that you wish to use
  •  Click the blue ‘Search’ button TOP

 

  5.      Signing Up for an Activity 

  • When you find an activity that interests you, click on ‘More Details/Sign Up.’  This will take you to a detailed description of the activity.
  • Click on the ‘Sign up for Activity’ box at the top of the screen to sign up for this activity. 

 

TIPS:

You can find out what activities you are signed up for by clicking  ‘What am I Signed-up For?’ in the  ‘Student Menu’ on the left.  You can also review a calendar of the activities for which you have signed up by clicking ‘My Schedule’ in the ‘Student Menu’ on the left.  TOP

   6.  Reporting an Activity

From this screen you can report an activity that you have completed.  You can only report completion of an activity one time.  Once you have reported an activity, it is sent to the activity sponsor for verification.  Upon verification, your completed activity will appear on your unofficial and official transcripts.

  • Click ‘Report My Activity’ in the ‘Student Menu’ on the left.
  •  Using the drop-down, select the activity that you have completed.
  •  Complete the questions that you are asked, and click ‘OK’ in the box below the last question. TOP

 

7.  Reporting Service Hours

From this screen you can report service hours.  Unlike the 'Report My Activity' screen, you can report your service hours multiple times.

  • Click on ‘Report My Service Hours’ in the ‘Student Menu’ on the left.
  •  Using the drop-down, select the activity for which you wish to report hours.
  • Complete the questions that you are asked, and click  ‘OK’ in the box below the last question. TOP

 

8.  Printing an Unofficial Co-Curricular Transcript

      From this screen you can print an unofficial transcript that will display all of your completed activities.

  • Click on ‘Print My Unofficial CCT’ in the ‘Student Menu’ on the left.  When the Co-Curricular Transcript appears, you can print this through your browser. TOP

 

9.  Requesting an Official Co-Curricular Transcript

 You can request an official transcript from the Office of the Registrar.  The form to request an official Co-Curricular Transcript is available in the Office of the Registrar, and it is also available online at www.clarion.edu/5764/.  TOP

 

10.      Logging Out

  •   Click  ‘Log Out’ in the ‘Student Menu’ on the left. TOP
