New & Transfer Students:

Move-in Days:

  • Students attending orientation Friday, January 17, can check in Thursday, January 16, from 2 p.m.-6 p.m.

  • Other new students move in Sunday, January 19, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. (not before).

  • If you live in the Clarion area, consider checking in during afternoon hours to avoid congestion. Helpful information is linked on the right side of this page.

  • If you have not already done so, submit your completed Student Health Assessment Form to the Keeling Health Center. Students will not be permitted to move in without having this form on file.

Discovery Weekend:

  • New and transfer students will receive information regarding weekend events which begin Friday evening, January 17, 2014 and all day Saturday, January 18, 2014.

Returning Students:

Move-in Day:

  • Returning students move in Sunday, January 19, beginning at 10 a.m. (not before).

  • If you live in the Clarion area, consider checking in during afternoon hours to avoid congestion. Helpful information is linked on the right side of this page.


ID Encoding:

  • Students residing in Ballentine Hall, Givan Hall, Campus View Suites and Valley View Suites must get their ID cards encoded for their rooms upon arrival. Cards can be encoded at the Center for Residence Life Services in 236 Egbert Hall or at the kiosk in the Givan Hall lobby.

  • Students residing in Nair Hall or Wilkinson Hall will receive keys to their rooms from hall staff at check-in.

  • The Center for Residence Life Services will be open: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 pm. Extended move-in hours include Thursday, January 16, until 6 p.m. and Sunday, January 19, from 10 a.m.-4 pm.


Personal Property Insurance:

  • Students are encouraged to carry personal property insurance as the university cannot be held liable for the loss of, or damage to, personal property. Check with either your current insurance carrier or your parent/guardian’s carrier to make sure that you are covered. Clarion University currently works with National Student Services Incorporated
