Applications are currently being accepted for the Clarion University Alumni Association (CUAA) Ross Rankin & Family Graduate Scholarships. Scholarships are awarded up to $1,500, and applied as a tuition credit for the Spring 2009 semester.
To qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
•Be a full- or part-time graduate studies student at Clarion University (Graduate students holding assistantships are also eligible).
•Have completed at least nine graduate credit hours at Clarion prior to Oct. 1, 2008.
•Enroll for at least six graduate credit hours at Clarion for Spring 2009 semester.
•Be in good academic standing, with at least a 3.0 QPA in their program.
•Submit completed application, two-page essay, VITA or resume, and letter of support from a graduate faculty member on or before Oct. 31, 2008, at 4 p.m.
Applications are available at the Alumni Relations Office, Seifert-Mooney Center for Advancement; Graduate Studies Office, Carrier Hall; Venango Campus Office of Admissions and Financial Aid, Frame Hall; and in the "alumni & friends" section of www.clarion.edu.
The Clarion University Alumni Association Finance & Scholarship Committee will review the applications, and recommend their choices for awardees and award amounts at the November 2008 CUAA Board meeting. Applicants will be informed of their decision prior to the end of the Fall 2008 semester.
