Clarion University Community Relations Committee will host a community breakfast at 7:30 a.m. April 4 in the American Legion hall, Main Street, Clarion.

“One of the primary functions of the Clarion University Community Relations Committee is to provide opportunities for the university and community to come together to discuss issues that impact our lives,” said David Love, director of marketing and communication at Clarion University. “In Clarion, we have an active business community, as well as a university, that is committed to being a part of this community’s growth and success.” 

The April 4 breakfast will answer the question, “How should Clarion University work with local and regional businesses?”

Attendees of the breakfast will be among the first to meet and hear remarks from the new dean of the College of Business Administration, who has spent the past 10 years managing a multifaceted organization with a $60 million budget and 800 employees.

With his entrepreneurial background, the new dean is uniquely positioned to identify ways that the College of Business and the Small Business Development Center can work with local and regional businesses to enhance the working relationship between the two and seize opportunities together.

Chartwells Catering Services will provide hot breakfast for attendants of the event. Admission is $7 and covers the cost of the meal. Those interested in attending should RSVP by calling 814-393-2572 or by emailing rsvp@clarion.edu.
