Connecting an Apple Mobile Device

Connecting an Apple iPad, iPod Touch or iPhone to the wireless network

NOTE:  Your wireless card must be configured for a DHCP assigned IP address for your computer to connect to the University's wireless networks.

You must be running version 2.0 or higher before you can connect to the wireless network

  • To determine the operating system version go to General and then About:

  • The Version line must be at 2.0 or higher
  • Go back to the main menu and tap Settings

  • Tap Wi-Fi

  • Tap Other...

  • Under Name type "cu-wifi-secure" (Clarion campus, except residence halls), "ven-wifi-secure" (Venango campus) or "resnet-wifi-secure" (residence halls).
  • Tap Security and choose WPA2 Enterprise, then tap Other Network to go back

  • Fill in your iClarion username (do not include @clarion.edu) and password and tap Join

  • You will be prompted to accept a certificate, tap Accept

  • You should now be connected to the wireless network.  Look for a checkmark next to "cu-wifi-secure", "ven-wifi-secure" or "resnet-wifi-secure".

  • You should now be able to access the Internet and Clarion network resources.
