Connecting a university-owned laptop to the wireless network
For Windows XP Systems:
- Locate the CSID of your computer.
- Contact the Computing Services Help Desk at x2640 or helpdesk@clarion.edu and submit a request to have your computer connected to the "Managed Wireless Network".
- Computing Services will ask you to connect your laptop to a wired network port and power it up

If you are having trouble connecting perform the following steps
- Go to the Control Panel and open the Network Connections.
- Right-click on the Wireless Network Card and selected Properties.
Note: you may receive a message stating that some of the controls are disabled because of insufficient privileges. If so, just click OK. - Click on the Wireless Networks tab.
- Verify that "cu-wifi-managed (automatic)" is listed if you are on the Clarion campus or "ven-wifi-managed (automatic)" is listed if you are on the Venango campus.
