Venango College of Clarion University has appointed Hope Lineman to fill the position of director of marketing and university relations.
Lineman will be responsible for increasing awareness of the range of program offerings at the college through an integrated marketing campaign that will include advertising, media relations, online marketing and radio advertising, social media, community relations and special events. She will promote the college’s array of certificate, associate, bachelor and select graduate degree programs that focus on high-quality education aligned directly with high-priority workforce needs.
Lineman brings to the position 11 years of experience in program development and extensive knowledge of admissions, marketing, recruitment and financial aid. She will also oversee the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid and the Office of Continuing Education at Venango College.
Lineman has been serving in the role of interim director of marketing and university relations since February of this year. Previously she served as the coordinator of continuing education at the campus since the creation of the office in April 2001, offering a variety of personal and professional development opportunities that have continued to grow over the years. In the first year the program served 75 students through professional and personal development courses and 60 children in a summer enrichment program, Kids in College. Under Lineman’s direction, program and course offerings continued to expand including the addition of 14 one-year certificate programs that address high-priority workforce needs. In 2011 the department served more than 650 students participating in various Venango Campus continuing education programs and courses and served populations in Butler, Clarion, Crawford, Forest, Mercer and Venango counties.
“We are delighted to add Hope Lineman to the Venango College leadership team,” said Chris Reber, executive dean of Venango College. “Hope is an experienced and accomplished director who will help expand our visibility and enrollment.
