Clarion University will host two evenings of specialized admissions information, termed, “Adults Only Nights.” Geared toward adult and transfer students whose schedules may not permit day-time visits, both Adults Only Nights run from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 12 and Jan. 9 in the Clarion University Admissions Office on Wood Street.
Admissions counselors and representatives from the financial aid and graduate studies offices provide a brief overview of the application process and other information, after which participants are able to ask questions about their specific circumstances.
“We do a really fast info overview and then leave a ton of time for people to ask the staff one-on-one questions,” said Diane Kahle, Clarion University assistant director of admissions. “Those attending can expect a lot of one-on-one support.”
The admissions office encourages the attendance of adults who are thinking about attending college for the first time, those returning to college after time away, college graduates thinking about graduate school, veterans, and transfer students considering a change of school.
Transfer students who bring copies of their transcripts can have them evaluated by admissions counselors, and attendees who wish to enroll in the spring 2013 semester will have their application fees waived.
Those interested in attending may register online at www.clarion.edu/admiss or call the admissions office at 814-393-2306 or 800-672-7171 (option 1).
