Four library science faculty traveled to Gettysburg to attend the Pennsylvania Library Association Annual Conference that began Sept. 30.

Dr. Marilyn Harhai and Dr. Janice Krueger, both of Clarion, presented a poster session entitled "Leading the Charge and Bringing Home the T-shirt" that highlighted assessment development practices applicable to library programming and learning opportunities. Attendees were invited to participate in a survey and to check out the assessment t-shirts.

Dr. Rhonda Clark, Titusville, and Dr. James Maccaferri, Strattanville, staffed the department booth in the exhibits hall, continually greeting and showing alumni and inquisitive library employees how to retool their skills through additional coursework.

The large number of Clarion alumni in attendance demonstrates both the impact of Clarion's Master of Science in Library Science program on librarianship in Pennsylvania and the commitment of its graduates to lifelong learning.

Clarion University is the high-achieving, nationally recognized, comprehensive university that delivers a personal and challenging academic experience.
