To BROWSE for books about Asian-Americans in Carlson Library, search the shelves in the Reference Collection within the E184 range of call numbers. Others can be found in Carlson Library within the E184 range of call numbers. Children’s nonfiction books can be found within the j973.04 range of call numbers. If you are looking for media, you can browse on the media shelves within the E184 range of call numbers. It is also possible to browse the collection online using a call number search in the Catalog.

To locate JOURNAL ARTICLES about Asian-Americans, go to the University Libraries' homepage, click on A-Z Database List, and then click on the database you wish to search.

In the text box, type in the word(s) or phrase(s) for which you want to search.

To find WEB SITES with information about Asian Americans, open an Internet browser such as Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox, and choose a search engine, such as Alta Vista or Infoseek. At the search screen, type in the topic you wish to research. When using the Internet for research, use the most specific search term possible. For example, using the broad search term Asian Americans will produce numerous Web sites, but using a more specific search term, such as Japanese cuisine, will produce fewer and more relevant results.
