World Wide Web

To find WEB SITES with information about African-Americans, open an Internet browser such as Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox, and choose a search engine such as Alta Vista or Yahoo. At the search screen, type in the topic you wish to research. When using the Internet for research, use the most specific search term possible. Because databases do not narrow search terms in the same manner, experiment with various search terms and phrases to produce the most relevant results. Examples of Web sites found on the Internet include:

www.africanamericans.com

www.pbs.org/wnet/aaworld

www.lib.washington.edu/subject/History/tm/black.html
