On May 12 at its 2012 Spring Commencement, Clarion University awarded its first joint honorary degrees to alumna Jane France and her husband Chris Allison. Jane and Chris each received the Doctor of Public Service degree at the 10 a.m. ceremony. As part of his remarks at the morning event, Allison honored his wife, Jane, and her commitment to and love for Clarion University.
Mrs. Janice Grunenwald, spouse of President Emeritus Joseph Grunenwald, will receive the President's Medallion award at the 2 p.m. commencement ceremony for her outstanding service to Clarion University.
On the Clarion campus, students from the College of Business Administration and the College of Education and Human Services graduated at the 10 a.m. ceremony, while students from the College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Nursing and Allied Health and the Division of Student Affairs will graduate at the 2 p.m. ceremony.
At the Venango campus, students receiving associate degrees will graduate at the 7:30 p.m. ceremony in the Robert W. Rhoades Center gymnasium. President Karen Whitney will serve as the Venango Campus commencement speaker.
