Several Clarion University faculty members and administrators have received funding for projects from outside sources.
They include:
•Rogers Laugand, director of Minority Student Services, $64,000 from the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education for the R. Benjamin Wiley Partnership Program.
•Dr. Frank Vento, professor of geography, $6,850 from the U.S. Department of Interior – National Park Service, Northeast Region for “SHOOP-NPS”; $23,182.40 from the U.S. Department of Agriculture – Allegheny National Forest for “Geomorphological Testing/Clarion River Corridor”; and $7,145.75 from the U.S. Department of Agriculture – Allegheny National Forest for “Minicourse Clarion River Corridor.”
•Kaersten Colvin-Woodruff, assistant professor of art, $5,741 from the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education Faculty Professional Development Council for “Asante Craft Technique Faculty Apprenticeships.”
•Dr. Kathleen Patterson, director School of Nursing and Allied Health, $10,310 from the Pennsylvania Higher Education Foundation, Inc., for “Dr. Edna B. McKenzie Scholarship for Disadvantages Students”; and $36,418 from the Pennsylvania Higher Education Foundation, Inc., for “Graduate Nurse Education Grant.”
•Dr. Susan Prezzano, professor of anthropology, $25,065 from the USDA Forest Service – Allegheny National Forest for “Archeological Fieldschool.”
