The Clarion University Office of Finance and Administration has provided an update on the major construction projects underway at Clarion University.
Dining Hall
Interior walls are being installed with electric, piping and duct work inside them. The last brick wall is being done with completion of glass installation following.
Pedestrian/vehicular traffic and safety: construction vehicles will also be entering and leaving the job site to transport materials. Caution should be used near the jobsite.
Science-Technology Building
The exhaust air system was hoisted into place on the roof this week using a 150 ton crane. When fully installed, the units will exhaust all the labs and classrooms on the north side of the building. Interior and exterior construction continued on all fronts.
On-Campus Residences
Brick installation continued on the west side of Building #1 and the siding installation continued on Building #4. This weekend the contractor will be taping and plastering installed drywall.
Venango Pond
The excavation area has widened significantly with 90% of the silt removed and bank grading starting.
