Clarion University will open the 2008 Fall semester on Aug. 25 at 8 a.m. The semester continues through commencement on Dec. 13.

Vacation dates are: Sept. 1, Labor Day; mid-semester break, Oct. 3; and Nov. 26-30, Thanksgiving.

Students register for day and evening classes on Aug. 25 with final exams, Dec. 8-12.

The Annual Autumn Leaf Festival is Sept. 30-Oct. 4. The parade begins at noon on Oct. 4 and the homecoming football game vs. California is at 2 p.m.

Cross country gets underway Sept. 6 at the California Invitational. Golf opens Sept. 6-7 at East Stroudsburg. Tennis opens Sept. 16 at Westminster at 4 p.m. and beings the home schedule Sept. 19 vs. Millersville on the Campbell Hall Courts at 4 p.m. Swimming and diving open Oct. 24-26 in Tippin Natatorium with the Clarion Classic. Basketball begins with Bowie State in the Clarion Classic, Nov. 15-16 at 6 p.m.

Men – Football opens Aug. 28 vs. Fairmont State at Memorial Stadium at 6 p.m. Golf opens the season Sept. 6-7 at the Ohio Valley Invitational and hosts the Hal Hansen Invitational at Clarion Oaks on Sept. 14-15. Basketball will open Nov. 15 playing Kean at the Kean Invitational, Union, N.J. Wrestling holds it Blue-Gold match Nov. 14 at 6 p.m. in Tippin Gymnasium, and opens the season at home on Nov. 21 vs. Eastern Michigan at 7 p.m. Swimming and diving open Oct. 24-26 in Tippin Natatorium with the Clarion Classic.
