Civic Engagement Scholars

There will be three new civic engagement scholarship opportunities in the 2014-15 academic year. Civic Engagement Scholars are placed at a site in the community based on their personal skills and talents matching with specific community needs. Applications will be accepted in the Center for Leadership and Involvement through August 25, and interviews will be helped September 2-5. Scholarship winners will be amounted September 8.

Civic Engagement Scholars work 12-15 hours per week serving local communities. Past scholars have worked with education, care for the elderly, community development, public libraries, and other programs. The scholarship covers full in-state tuition for the academic year. Interested students should read the guidelines and application packet on the right side of this page.
