University Relations communicates the official position of the university and advances its image. In addition to the specific areas listed below, the Center assists in community and governmental relations, emergency communications, general public relations, and serves as a spokesperson for the university. Ron Wilshire, assistant vice president for university relations, is executive director of the Center.

Marketing
The launch of a new brand-marketing program is starting with the new academic year, including a new design for official publications related to student recruitment and a new web site that reflects the brand. The new web site will empower academic departments to more easily (with training) update their content on the web and at the same time fall within the brand.
All promotional advertising is placed through this office.
Work closely with Enrollment Management.
Web Design
Offers training and assistance with the web content management system. Provides design services within the brand. Electronic marketing is also a developing area of services.
News
All official University news releases are issued through this office for distribution to media and Clarion’s web site and electronic campus newsletter, NEWSwire. Photographic coverage is also arranged through this office.
Sports Information
All official news releases and media relations relating to sports are coordinated and issued through this department. Clarion’s intercollegiate athletics is also represented on a Clarion sports web site maintained by this department. The full-time Sports Information Director and part-time assistant work closely with the Athletic Director and coaches. The department is also responsible for the coordination of statistical reports required by NCAA related to games.
PAGES
This is an on-campus media center that is responsible for the printing of all official university publications, operates a copy center, and provides design and digital services. Will work closely in the implementation of the brand marketing campaign. PAGES is also a ledger three operation and operations are required to make their budget through chargeback’s etc.
Additional services include specialized mailing and other promotional items such as portfolios, shirts, etc.
