Leadership is a key ingredient at Clarion and the attitude continues for students after graduation in their role as alumni.

Clarion's strategic plan, Framework for the Future, outlines these five principles for the future:

  • Enhance Clarion's position as a leading, high-quality institution serving the students of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education

  • Identify and develop high-quality academic programs and student services focused on learning that are attractive to potential students and serve important regional needs

  • Achieve moderate enrollment growth

  • Enhance diversity as a major contributor to overall high quality

  • Contribue in a significant way to the advancement of the region and the community
