Darla Ausel Learning & Technology (ex-officio) Darla is the Manager and Instructional Technology Specialist of the Learning and Technology Center. She is an ex-officio member of Honors Council. Ms. Ausel provides Honors instruction with superior consultation and leadership in integrating technology into our curriculum.

William Bailey Office of Admissions (appointed by President) Dean Bailey has been an Honors Council member since 2001. His insights and perspectives have contributed to recruitment methods. We are grateful for his energetic and dedicated service.

Jon Beal, Ph.D. Science & Technology (08/2000 - 05/2009) Dr. Beal is a professor and chair of the Mathematics Department. He is a valuable and intelligent member of the Honors Council.

Brian Dunn, Ph.D. College of Arts & Sciences (08/2006 - 05/2009) Dr. Dunn is chair of the History Department and a faculty advisor for the Office of National Scholarship Advising. His experience is a significant contribution to the Honors Council.

Lynn Hepfl Honors Program Coordinator (08/1994 - present) Lynn is the "heart" of the Honors community. Her ideas, enthusiasm, and caring make for a wonderful Honors environment. Lynn's involvement with the International Programs promotes diversity and adds unique qualities to the Honors community. Lynn is a vital component of the Honors Program and is greatly appreciated.

Michelle Kealey Student Affairs (08/2008 - 05/2009) Michelle is the Director of Residence Life Services. Her expertise in student affairs will offer valuable guidance in Honors planning.

Andrew Keth, Ph.D. Natural Sciences (08/2008 - 05/2011) Dr. Keth has been contributing to Honors for years by instructing Learning Partnerships. He is a professor of the Biology Department and also coordinates graduate studies for that department. Dr. Keth is a valuable Council member and a friend of the Honors Program.

Terry Latour, Ph.D. Carlson Library (8/2005 - 5/2008) Dr. Latour is the Dean of Libraries at Clarion University. He came to Clarion from Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi, where he was director of library services since 1995. We are pleased to have Dr. Latour as an Honors Council member.

Ralph Leary, Ph.D. College of Arts & Sciences - English (8/1998 - 5/2010) Dr. Leary is a prominent member of the Honors community. He co-instructs Modes of Discourse with Barry McCauliff and is a professor of the English Department. Serving as Honors Faculty since 1996, Ralph has made significant contributions to the growth of the Honors Program.

David Lott, Ph.D. Honors Coordinator - Venango Campus (8/2006 - 5/2009) Dr. Lott is the first Honors Coordinator at Clarion University's Venango Campus. David is also a member of the Biology Department. His leadership in Honors is invaluable to the Program's growth.

Barry McCauliff Speech Communication (8/2002 - 5/2010) Barry has served on Honors Council since 2002. He is co-instructor of Modes of Discourse. Barry is also Department Chairman and assistant professor of the Speech Communication Department.

Clay Nolan Student Honors Association (8/2008 - 5/2009) Clay is the President of the Student Honors Association. He is a Junior majoring in elementary education. We look forward to the growth of our student organization under his creative leadership.

Thomas Oliver, Ph.D. College of Business (8/2004 - 5/2010) Dr. Thomas Oliver is a Professor of Accountancy in the College of Business. Thomas has served Honors Council since 2004. As a faculty member, he brings outstanding administrative and teaching experience to the Council.

Brent Register, DMA Honors Program Assistant Director (8/2002 - present) Brent has served on Honors Council since 2002. Currently he is the Assistant Director of the Honors Program. Dr. Register is a professor of the Music Department and has instructed Honors 130 in the past. Brent is full of ideas and energy and we appreciate all that he does.

Hallie Savage Honors Program Director (8/1997 - present) Dr. Savage serves as Honors Program Director and instructs Honors 350. Having an extensive history with the Program, Hallie believes "There is no ceiling on growth and creativity." Dr. Savage is committed to the Honors Program and dedicated to its students. Her efforts are immensely appreciated.

Christina Sheets Athletics (08/2008 - 05/2009) Christina or "Tilly" is a brand new addition to Honors Council this year. Her professional expertise in athletics and wellness are invaluable to the Council's long-term planning, especially with respect to Honors student athletes.

Christopher Wike Student Director (8/2007 - present) Chris is a senior majoring in English with a specialization in Literature. As Student Director, Chris was responsible for the execution of the Fall 2007 Senior Honors Presentations. He will also execute the Fall 2008 Presentations. It is Chris' second year as Student Director.
