Since its founding in 1867, Clarion University of Pennsylvania has had many milestones. On Friday, April 15, 2011, you will have the opportunity to be part of one of the most important moments in Clarion's history–the installation of Dr. Karen M. Whitney as its sixteenth president. Your presence and participation as a member of the Clarion Family will contribute to the power and significance of this moment.
The installation ceremony will begin in Marwick-Boyd Auditorium at 1:30 p.m., followed by a public reception in Carlson Library, Level A. Please check the appropriate section of this web site for information related to delegate, faculty, staff, student, alumni, and community participation.
In recognition of the scholarly achievements of Clarion's students, faculty, and staff, the inaugural events are being held in conjunction with the university's Sixth Annual Academic Excellence Series (AES). We invite you to review information on those activities at www.clarion.edu/aes.
Let's show Dr. Whitney our support by making her inauguration a celebration that the entire university community will remember. We look forward to seeing you at the inaugural and Academic Excellence Series events.
Sincerely,
The Inaugural Committee
