The Writing Center supports students in their efforts to become better writers than to produce perfect papers. We do not "fix" or proofread papers. We do not tell writers what to do. We do not guarantee impoved grades. We teach students how to improve and correct their own writing.
In the end, the quality of work submitted to a professor for evaluation is the responsibility of the student writer.
The Writing Center is a support service for any writer who values feedback as part of the process of learning to write well.
