CU Fall Career and Study Abroad Fair

(An opportunity for all students and alumni to meet recruiters during an informal and casual career fair)

Who Can Attend

Clarion University's Career Services Center hosts the Fall Career Fair for students and alumni.  Recruiters from business, industry, government, and non-profit organizations will visit campus to promote their organizations, provide general information about the career and internship opportunities that they offer, and some will interview students and alumni that have been pre-selected for interviews.

Interview Day is an opportunity for pre-selected students (sophomore through graduate students) and alumni to interview with employers offering internships or full-time jobs.

Review the Schedule of Activities below to determine if you want to participate in the Career Fair, individual interviews, or both. 

The Study Abroad Fair is hosted by the office of International Programs.  All students are invited to meet with offices and organizations offering these experiences.

Career and Study Abroad Fair

  • Open to freshman through alumni.
  • The Career Fair provides an informal opportunity for students (from freshman through graduate students) and alumni to meet with recruiters representing a variety of employers, pick up information and materials, and learn about career opportunities with each organization.
  • The Study Abroad Fair is an opportunity for students to connect with providers of study abroad opportunities, and also to talk to students and faculty who have experienced international study.
  • Students who want to attend the fair only do not need to register. Just show up!

Optional Individual Interviews with Campus Recruiters

  • Interviews are held on Thursday between 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • Open to sophomores, juniors, seniors, graduate students, and alumni who are seeking internships or full-time jobs.

To be considered for an interviews submit your resume to the job/internship posting at least 5 days before the event.  Pre-event application and resume submission:

  • encourages recruiter participation
  • shows recruiters you're a prepared candidate
  • gives recruiters time to review resume
  • gives you time to research an employer prior to interview
  • facilitates scheduling a convenient interview time slot

2. Establish or Update your Online Student/Alumni Account at collegecentral.com/clarion.

All Clarion students or alumni participating in Individual Interviews must have an active account at College Central Network.To find out if you already have an account or to obtain your Access ID and password, please contact us at 814-393-2323.

  • Establish an online account by registering at College Central Network.
  • Review the online profile of each employer participating in Interview Day.

3. Upload your Resume

Clarion Students/Alumni are strongly encouraged to submit your resume on-line at 5 days before the event (or date indicated on the employer posting) for priority consideration. This will give employers plenty of time to view your resume and determine if they want to interview you on Interview Day. In addition, you will need time to check your online account to see if you have been selected for an interview and to select an interview appointment time by noon the day before the event .

  • You must upload a resume to participate in individual interviews.
  • The Career Services Center will be alerted when your resume is available for review. If we recommend some revisions to your resume, you will receive an e-mail stating that your resume is pending.
  • When your resume is approved, you will receive an e-mail to proceed to the next step.

 4. Review On Campus Interview Job/Internship postings and submit your resume to those which interest you

Go to your online account at www.collegecentral.com/clarion and submit your resume to each employer with whom you would like to interview.

  • Select Job/opportunities posted to my school
  • Enter the Job ID number in Job ID box found on the Campus Recruiting Schedule.
    Or, select On-Campus Interview Jobs. A listing of all recruiters coming to campus will appear.
  • To submit your resume
    • Click on the Job ID number to view the Job Detail Information page
    • Click on Submit to Posting
  • Check your CCN account notification of the status of your interview status.
    • Check My On-Campus Interview Status will appear on your account only after you have submitted a resume to a job posting. 
  • To schedule an interview appointment for Interview Day, go back to your online account and select Check My On-Campus Interview Status by noon on the day before the event.

Individual Interview Walk-in registration procedures:

It is strongly encouraged that Clarion students and alumni pre-register for this event. However, if you were not able to submit your resume online by the designated deadline or you are a non-clarion student/alumni, please follow these steps:

  • Attend the Career Fair.
  • Approach the recruiter, present your resume, and request an interview appointment
  • The recruiter may accept or deny your request

If the recruiter has a free interview time slot and agrees to interview you, you will be given a Request to Schedule Interview Form. You must bring this form to the Career Services Center Interview Check-in table.

Interview Process:

Pre-selected and walk-in candidates will be required to check-in at the Interview Check-in table before and after each scheduled interview. Interviews are 25 minutes in length and scheduled on the half hour between 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Employers must honor the 30-minute interval time slots so that students are not late for back-to-back scheduled interviews. The last round of interviews must conclude by 3:00 p.m.
