Directions to Venango Campus

FROM THE SOUTH - PITTSBURGH AREA

* From eastern suburbs, take Rt.8 N all the way to Oil City, then follow from Step 7.

* From the city, northern or western suburbs, take I-79N to I-80E toward Clarion, exiting at the Rt.8 N exit for Franklin/Oil City, then follow from Step 5.

1. Take Route 8 N from I-80E.

2. Continue on 8 N into Franklin, approximately 15 miles.

3. At the bottom of a long hill, you will come to a blinking red light.

4. Turn right. This is Liberty Street (Rts. 62, 8, & 322).

5. Follow Rts. 8 and 62 through Franklin, as they continue down Liberty Street.

6. Following Rts. 8 and 62, turn left onto a four-lane highway that leads to Oil City, approximately 8 miles to the north.

7. Turn right, just past the Electralloy Plant on your right, onto the Petroleum Street Bridge (Route 62 N).

8. Cross the bridge, go to the second light, and turn right onto West First Street. Venango Campus is on West First Street, approximately 1.5 miles on the left, just past a large pond.

FROM THE WEST VIA INTERSTATE 80

1. Take Route 8 N from 80 W at the Franklin/Oil City exit.

2. Continue on 8 N into Franklin, approximately 15 miles.

3. At the bottom of a long hill, you will come to a blinking red light.

4. Turn right. This is Liberty Street (Rts. 62, 8, & 322).

5. Follow  Steps 5-8, above.

  FROM THE NORTH - ERIE AREA

1. Take I-79 S to Meadville, Exit 147, Rt.322 E.

2. Follow Route 322 East into Franklin and continue following signs for 322 East, turning left at the intersection with Rts. 8 and 62.  This is Liberty Street.

3. Follow Steps 5-8, above.

 FROM THE NORTH - WARREN-ST. MARY'S AREA

1. Follow Rt. 8 through Titusville to Oil City, approximately 14 miles.

2. As you approach Oil City, just after passing an Agway store on your right, bear right on bypass Route 8 S.

3. Turn left at the third red light (Route 62 N), at the Petroleum Street Bridge intersection.

4. Cross the bridge, go to second light, and turn right onto West First Street. Venango Campus is on West First Street, approximately 1.5 miles on the left, just past a large pond.

 FROM THE EAST VIA INTERSTATE 80

1. Take the Shippenville exit, Rt. 66 N (exit 60).

2. Follow Rt. 66 N to the intersection of Rts. 66 and  322 W  (red light).

3. Turn left onto Rt. 322 and follow 322 W for approximately 17 miles to Cranberry.

4. Continue straight through the intersection on Rt. 322 W, passing the Cranberry Mall on your right and a Wal-Mart Super Center on your left.

5. Continue on 322 W about 3 miles, going down a long hill, where you will see a sign to turn right to go to Clarion University—Venango Campus. This is Deep Hollow Road.

6. Turn right onto Deep Hollow Road. Follow Deep Hollow Road for approximately 6 miles.

7. At the four-way stop sign, go straight. Deep Hollow Road becomes West First Street in Oil City. Venango Campus is on the right, 1 mile from the four-way stop sign. It sits above street level, and the driveway is a hard right turn just before a large pond.
