4:00 p.m. Reading and Panel Discussion: A Lover's Quarrel With Tradition.  Kazim Ali, Richard St. John, and Philip Terman will read and discuss their poetry in relationship to their religious traditions (Islamic, Christian, and Jewish) in terms of celebration, criticism and dialogue.

"STARS OVER CLARION"

Physics major, Will Snyder, will be doing a planetarium show for the Clarion University community and their guests at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 3, 2014.  It is entitled "Stars over Clarion" and will focus on the spring sky. 

There is no charge but seating is limited.  Families are more than welcome.

The planetarium is on the second floor of the Joseph P. Grunenwald Center for Science and Technology.

"DAWN OF ASTRONOMY" PLANETARIUM SHOW

The physics department will present two showings of the multimedia planetarium show, "Dawn of Astronomy" on Friday, April 11, 2014.  The first showing will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the second at 7:00 p.m.  The show is approximately 50-minutes long and is free and open to the general public.  Since seating is limited, visitors are encouraged to arrive 15-20 minutes early.

The show looks at some of humankind's earliest astronomical discoveries, and features the pyramids of ancient Egypt and England's Stonehenge.

The planetarium is on the second floor of the Joseph P. Grunenwald Center for Science and Technology.  For more information, contact Dr. Sharon Montgomery, 814-393-1899.
