Ken Grugel, director of financial aid/veterans affairs at Clarion University, presented two sessions at the recent National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) conference held in Denver, Colo.

            Grugel was a co-presenter with Haley Chitty, director of communications at NASFAA, and their session was entitled "Advocacy-How to Respond to Hot Topics." His second presentation was "What is the Role of the Financial Aid Office in Encouraging and Improving Student Retention and Success?" co- presented with Alvina Thomas, dean of student services and financial aid at Louisiana Delta Community College, Monroe, La., and Eric Weber, dean of student services at Salt Lake Community College, Salt Lake City, Utah.
