Business Administration (MBA)
___ Official scores for the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) sent to Graduate Programs at Clarion University
___ On a separate sheet of paper provide a list of your work experience including employer, job title, and years of employment. This information can be included on your resume.
___ Online program only-GMAT waiver request can be submitted if you have more than five years work experience in an appropriate field, after completion of your bachelor's degree.
Education (MED) (all concentration areas), Reading Specialist Certification, Instructional Technology Specialist (ITS) Certification, Early Childhood Teacher Certification
___ Undergraduate minimum quality-point average (QPA) requirement is 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
___ Ask those who will be submitting your recommendations to document your potential and/or effectiveness in the areas of your teaching ability and/or professional performance.
___ Two copies of your Pennsylvania certification
If you do not have Pennsylvania certification,
___ Two copies of evidence of teacher certification in another state
___ Professional Goals Statement that addresses the following: (1) describe how the Master of Education program will help you realize some of your professional goals; (2) describe any leadership responsibilities that you have had in your school, school district, or in other educational, professional, or community settings.
Instructional Technology Specialist (ITS) Certification Program
In addition to all of the *required admission materials for the "Education (MED) (all concentration areas)", applicants to the ITS program must also submit:
___ Professional goals statement (two pages) stating your purpose for pursuing the ITS program and your interest in the field.
___ An electronic portfolio documenting your achievement of the ISTE NETS-T and ISTE NETS for Technology Facilitators. Use the online ITS Cert.Readiness Checklist or www.clarion.edu/redinesscheck to help you construct your portfolio. Include the link to your portfolio with your application materials. You might include the link in your resume, your cover letter, or send it in a separate document.

Early Childhood Teacher Certification Program
In addition to all requirements listed above under "Education (MED) (all concentration areas)," those applying to the Early Childhood Teacher Certification program must also submit:
___ One copy of an elementary teaching certificate
___ Current criminal clearances- Act 33, 34 and FBI. Detailed information on clearances can be found at the ECH Requirements page or www.clarion.edu/echrequirements.
___ Medical records - TB test, Physical Examination, Required Immunizations. Detailed information on medical records can be found at the ECHRequirements page or www.clarion.edu/echrequirements. Please note: liability insurance is not a requirement for the ECH Teacher Certification Program.
Library Science (MSLS)
___ Applicants with a cumulative quality-point average (QPA) below 3.0 on a 4.0 scale should review the Library Science section of the Graduate Catalog regarding QPA admission requirements or click here, MSLS QPA Requirements or www.clarion.edu/mslsqpa
MSLS with School Library Media Certification
___ Same as "MSLS" above.
___ Ask those who will be submitting your recommendations to document your potential and/or effectiveness in the areas of your teaching ability and/or professional performance.
___ Must show evidence of six credits of college-level math and six credits of college-level English composition and literature. Students without prior certification must take the Praxis I examination. Official test scores are to be sent to Graduate Programs at Clarion University.
Certificate of Advanced Studies in Library Science (CAS)
___ In addition to the above, submit a letter describing why you want to pursue the CAS program and your activities since you received your MSLS degree
Mass Media Arts and Journalism and Public Relations Certificate (MS)
___ Admission on a provisional basis may be granted if the applicant's QPA is at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale and he/she receives scaled score of 400 or above on the Miller Analogies Test (MAT) or a combined score of at least 1,000 from two sections of the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) General Test taken prior to August 1, 2011. Test takers who complete the GRE revised General Test after that must achieve a combined score of 297.
___ Statement of purpose for pursuing the MMAJ including your professional goals, a description of your talents and skills as they relate to graduate study in the field, and a list of your accomplishments as they relate to your professional goals.
___ Short essay describing how you expect to benefit from graduate study in MMAJ at Clarion University and how you expect to contribute to the program.
Rehabilitative Sciences (MS)
___ Official scores for the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) General Test or the Miller Analogies Test (MAT) sent to Graduate Programs at Clarion University.
___ Undergraduate minimum quality-point average requirement is 3.0 or above (Provisional admission is possible for students with an undergraduate GPA under 3.0 but above 2.75).
___ Letter stating goals for graduate study.
___ Ask those who will be submitting your recommendations to document your potential and/or effectiveness in the areas of your teaching ability and/or professional performance.
___ Applicants to this program should submit documentation of any prior field experience through human service employment and/or university field experience. This information can be included on the resume.
Speech Language Pathology (MS)
___ Official GRE scores required if QPA is below a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
___ Writing proficiency as demonstrated by a one-page letter of intent. gradstudies@clarion.edu
___ Ask those who will be submitting your recommendations to document your potential and/or effectiveness in the areas of your teaching ability and/or professional performance. Note: Clarion University, graduating seniors in speech pathology are not required to submit letters of
recommendation.
___ Twelve semester hours of credit in courses related to normal development and the sciences related to the use of speech, hearing, and language; three credits in speech pathology, three credits in language disorders, six credits in audiology, including three credits in aural rehabilitation, three credits in augmentative and alternative communication; 25 clinical observation hours; three credits in statistics; three credits in behavioral/social sciences; three credits in biological sciences; three credits in physical sciences; and three credits in mathematics. (Students may make up undergraduate deficiencies.)
