"This is a gathering of our entire team," Grunenwald said during his remarks. "Clarion University is about learning from top to bottom. All of the things we do are a learning experience demonstrated to the students by the way we do our work. You are an important part of experience. You deliver a kind of educational experience that makes a difference to the students 20 to 25 years down the road. I have alumni remind me of help they received from a secretary, administrator, or counselor that helped them to succeed."
Concluding, Grunenwald added, "This is a bittersweet experience for me. The toughest thing about retirement is not seeing all of you on a regular basis. Fly Eagles fly."
