OIL CITY, PA- Clarion University-Venango Campus announces a new Certified Web Designer program, a new concentration within its Associate of Applied Science in Administration Technology (AAS-AT) degree. The concentration will prepare students for a wide range of employment opportunities designing and enhancing websites. Students complete general education and business courses at Venango Campus and the technical component of the degree through CS Technologies Plus, a licensed and certified technical education provider located in nearby Seneca, Pennsylvania. Graduates of the Administration Technology program earn an associate degree from Clarion University with a concentration in web design.

            The demand for employees in the field of information technology is projected to grow much faster than the average for all occupations, adding 286,600 jobs through 2018, according to the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Statistics, Occupational Outlook Handbook, 2010-2011.

            The Certified Web Designer concentration prepares students for industry-level certification exams in website design and security, as well as certification preparation for certifications in various Adobe® software products.
