Import/ Export / Copy Course Components

Under the Edit Course  > Site Resources section is the "Import/Export/Copy Components" tool.

Use the IMPORT feature to upload D2L course content that is in the form of a .zip file. Imported D2L course content will automatically be placed in the D2L course area that it was extracted (exported) from. For example, any exported Quizzes in the zip file will be imported into a D2L course's Quizzes content area. Many textbook publishers have course content that can be imported in the D2L format. This feature is not for course content that would be uploaded to Course files such as .docx, .pdf, .jpg., etc.

Click on Edit Course in the navigation bar, click Import/Export/Copy Components (under Site Resources ) to select the tool, and follow the screen shots in the directions below.

Use the COPY Components feature to copy content and files from an existing or previous course into another. Please note: you have to be in the course that you want the material to copy into and select from a list of available courses to get to the content you want to copy. D2L pulls the information from the other course rather than pushing from one course into another.
