            Dr. Kevan Yenerall, professor of political science at Clarion University, will continue the 2009-10 Faculty Author Seminar Series, with a presentation Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 12:15 p.m. in Level A, Carlson Library. The presentation is free and open to the public. A light lunch will be served beginning at noon.

            Yenerall's presentation is "The McCain-Palin Tradition: Conservative Common Sense and Liberal 'Hoodoo', Patriots and Elites - The Rhetoric of the Other in the 2008 Presidential Campaign." The presentation is based on a paper he presented at the 2009 New England Political Science Association conference in Portland, Me.

            The paper examines several of the recurring themes in the campaign rhetoric of Gov. Sarah Palin. The paper was part of a conference panel on the 2008 election.

            The Faculty Affairs Committee of Clarion University Faculty Senate in cooperation with the University Libraries sponsors the Faculty Author Seminar Series. This initiative is funded through the Clarion University-Wide Faculty Development Committee's Presidential Advancement Award.  For further information, contact pkolencik@clarion.edu.

            The upcoming speaker on the Spring 2010 program is Dr. Greg Goodman, education, Monday, March 22. All presentations begin at 12:15 p.m.
