The Clarion University German Club made a trip to Pittsburgh on Nov. 15 to see a performance of the ballet, "Light/The Holocaust and Humanity Project."
The ballet was choreographed by Stephen Mills who, after being deeply affected by the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, decided to educate himself about the Holocaust, another event that challenges one's perceptions of what it means to be human.
Twelve German Club students; the Club's advisor, Dr. Eleanor ter Horst, professor of modern languages; and German instructor Steffi Wuertz-Hurley, attended the performance. Two alumni of the German Club who are currently graduate students in Pittsburgh joined them for the performance.
Clarion University is the high-achieving, nationally recognized, comprehensive university that delivers a personal and challenging academic experience.
