Read-In Day

The National African American Read-In celebrates the African American experience through reading of works authored by African Americans.  The public is invited to participate by sharing a reading from a favorite African American author.  The event aims to honor both the legacy of Martin Luther King and February as Black History Month.  This is the 21st year of African American Read-In Day sponsored nationally by the Black Caucus of National Council of Teaching of English.  The Read-In has been endorsed by the Internatinoal Reading Association.
