Kevin O'Connell, senior vice president of marketing for the Eat'n Park Hospitality Group Inc., visits Clarion University as a guest speaker at Dr. Andrew Lingwall's Public Relations Principles and Practices class on Nov. 20 at 9 a.m., in 150 Becker Hall. Students and faculty are invited to attend.

            O'Connell will discuss the public relations and marketing programs he has developed for Eat'n Park Inc., focusing on the use of Integrated Marketing Communications and social media. Eat'n Park Inc. also operates Cura Hospitality, ParkHurst Dining Services, The Park Classic Diner and Six Penn Kitchen.

            O'Connell graduated with honors with a BBA from the University of Notre Dame. He spent 12 years as a consultant on business strategy, marketing and information technology. As head of marketing for Eat'n Park's restaurant division, he is responsible for all advertising, market research, public relations, and, of course, Smiley cookies.
