David Hartley, assistant dean, College of Business Administration at Clarion University, will present "Assessing the Courage Intentions of the Adult Self-Directed Leader" as part of the Clarion University Brown Bag series, Nov. 20 at 12:15 p.m. in room 217 of Founders Hall. The presentation is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
Hartley's presentation will discuss the development of the construct of the self-directed leader (out of self-directed learning) and how courage plays a role in leadership. This will be followed by a discussion of the item pool he is developing.
This informal talk is the third in Clarion University's Brown Bag series, a part of an on-going initiative to promote faculty research and foster inter-disciplinary collaboration and discussion in an informal setting.
The Brown Bag Series resumes in 2010 with the following speakers: Dr. Susan Prezzano, Jan. 29; Dr. Gustavo Barboza, Feb. 19; and Ken Staub, March 19. The series is supported by Partners in Teaching, Learning, and Assessment.
