Parameters for article:

            The award winners have been announced for Clarion University's Presidential Art Exhibition, on display through Dec. 2 in the University Gallery, Level A, Carlson Library. The gallery has announced new hours:  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 1-5 p.m. and Wednesday, 1-8 p.m.

            Award winners include:

            VizArtZ Choice, selected by selected by the officers of Clarion University's VizArtZ Club - Stephanie Janisko "Untitled." Janisko, a senior art major, is a granddaughter of Marcia Himes of Davidsville and is a graduate of Conemaugh Township High School.

            Gallery Director's Distinguished Artist Award selected by Dr. Vicky Clark, director of the University Gallery - Scott Davies. Davies, a secondary education/social studies major, is a son of Ellen Davies of Morrisville and is a graduate of Pennsbury High School.

            Dean's Choice, selected by Dr. Rachelle Prioleau, dean of Clarion University's College of Arts and Sciences - Chloe Boden, "Multiple Eyes." Boden, a senior art major, is a daughter of Dave and Mary Boden of Franklin and is a graduate of Rocky Grove High School.

            2D Media awards went to:

            Best in Show:  Christy Logue, "Iris." Logue, a freshman art major, is a daughter of Rose Logue of Clarion and is a graduate of Clarion High School.

            First place:  Katy Hiser, "Blue River." Hiser, a junior art major, is a daughter of Kathleen Pansera of Ellwood City and is a graduate of Lincoln City High School.

            Second place:  Sundas Rana, "Cheaters Never Win." Rana is an international student from Islamabad, Pakistan, and is a graduate of Federal Government College for Women.

Third place:  Emily Ann Byrtus, "Duality:  Ambidextrously Simultaneously." Byrtus, a junior art/graphic design major, is a daughter of John and Sally Byrtus of Waterford and is a graduate of Ft. LeBeouf High School.

            3D Media awards went to:

            Best in Show:  Fred Clark, "Contemplation." Clark, a junior art major, resides in Brookville with his wife, Margaret, and is a graduate of Brookville High School.

            First place:  Samantha Reynolds, "Iron Tree." Reynolds, a senior art major is a daughter of Raymond and Donna Reynolds of Fallentimber and is a graduate of Glendale High School.

            Second place:  Michelle Strohmyer, "Sparkling Fork." Strohmyer, a sophomore radiological science major, is a daughter of Kevin Shick of Mayport and is a graduate of Keystone High School.

            Third place:  Mark Ehrensberger, "Untitled 2." Ehrensberger, a sophomore art major, is a son of Ken Ehrensberger of St. Marys and is a graduate of St. Marys High School.

            Overall judging was performed by Myra Bullington, a costume designer and member of the Clarion County Arts Council. Best in Show winners receive cash prizes donated by President Grunenwald.
