Dr. Joanne Washington, professor of communication at Clarion University, recently presented a paper, "The Change Agent Model: Strategically Placed for Success at the PASSHE (Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education) Women's Consortium Conference in West Chester.

            The paper presents a model for conceptualizing, developing, and implementing strategic programs that benefit both underserved and majority students and the faculty. Strategies for drawing out the unique and creative qualities of the progressive change agent and adoption and diffusion models for educational institutions were discussed.
