Mystery Revealed...
Several keen eyes identified the eEagle mystery photo as a scene from the 1955 homecoming football game, played at Clarion State College at the old stadium in front of the Harvey Hall fieldhouse -- essentially the site where the old Peirce Science Hall recently came down. The homecoming Queen was Alice Yorns. The crown bearer is Penny Mellon, daughter of Dr. John Mellon. Among those sitting in the crowd -- identified by themselves or others -- are Kay Clark, Diane Still, Lynn McMillen, Jolinda (Voorhees) Whittle, Virginia (Jordan) Strandberg, Gladys (Pfau) Deskins and her parents, Charles and Phyllis Pfau, Carol Jenkins, Louise (Johnson) Sims, Pat Mullin, Dr. Joe Spence, Bob Skinner, Kent Kretler, and Carol Fibick.
Thanks to everyone who provided information about the photo, including: Doug Cargo, Kay Clark, Gladys Deskins, Vivian Russell, Doris Grottenthaler, Terry Graham, Don Mock, Jayne Beichner, LouAnn Steiner, Lois Linnan, Fran Church, Robert Sloan, Kent Kretzler, Kay Clark, and Carol Jenkins.
