REAL ESTATE FUNDAMENTALS & REAL ESTATE PRACTICE

The Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission regulations require that an applicant successfully complete a course in Real Estate Practice and Real Estate Fundamentals before they can apply to take the State Real Estate Exam. The Real Estate Commission requires a student attend at least 80% of the course and receive a passing grade of 70% or higher to receive credit for the course. The 2 courses may be taken in any order. (State Exam fees are not included in this course)Once you take the final exams and pass them, you will be given Transcripts showing completion of the class requirements. We will give you the information on how to sign up with the state to take the state and national exam. Once you have completed the state and national exam, you will be eligible to get your Real Estate license and work for a broker in the state of Pennsylvania.
Real Estate Fundamentals
To provide the student with a basic foundation for additional study and to support the practice of real estate in Pennsylvania. The course is designed to acquaint the student with the language, principles and laws that govern the business of real estate. Emphasis is on the underlying concepts of Land, Property, Rights in Realty and the means, methods and laws that govern the conveyance of these rights.
Online Course must be completed within six months upon receiving login and password.
Payment must be received before login and password will be provided.

Real Estate Practice
To provide the student with an introduction to all facets of the real estate business including a survey a specialization. Emphasis is on the role of a real estate agent in the field of residential brokerage. This course is designed to acquaint the student in the basic techniques, procedures, regulations and ethics involved in a real estate transaction, along with a working knowledge of the forms and documents used including the related mathematics.
Online Course must be completed within six months upon receiving login and password.
Payment must be received before login and password will be provided.
Online Class Fee: $130 per class + required textbook (approximately $32)
($260 total for both classes - Class can be taken consecutively or concurrently)
Classroom Course Fee: $260 + required textbook (approximately $32)
The Classroom version of Real Estate Fundamentals & Practice is offered as a combined course.
Classes will meet Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6 pm to 8pm

Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy
If you are registered for a class and are unable to attend, please notify Continuing Education at (814) 393-2227 as other applicants may be waiting for the course. Substitutions can be made at any time and at not cost. The following cancellation/rescheduling policy applies to all classes unless noted otherwise:
* 5 or more business days notice: Full Refund or may reschedule
* Less than 5 business days notice: No Refund, but you can reschedule to another course
Rescheduled courses are not elegible for refunds if originally rescheduled with less than five business days' notice.
