The Department of Administrative Science offers two majors in the bachelors of science in business administration (BSBA) degree program:
- Management
- General Management
- Small Business Management/Entrepreneurship
- Industrial Relations (Human Resource Management)

The BSBA in management is designed to provide the knowledge, understanding, analytical abilities, basic skills, and values essential for success in entry-level management positions. This degree program provides a foundation for individual education, development, and achievement required for positions of increasing responsibility. Our students develop critical interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, as well as the the technical skills necessary in today's competitive business environment
Students interested in Small Business Management/Entrepreneurship will learn how to develop a business plan, the duties and responsibilities of being a small business owner/manager, how to identify and respond to critical risks facing entrepreneurs and small business owners, how to evaluate small business and franchise alternatives, and how to manage creativity and innovation.
Students in theBSBA in Industrial Relations (Human Resource Management) will learn about workforce planning and employment, human resource development, compensation and benefits, labor relations, occupational health and safety, creating high performance work systems, and strategic management.
Minors: The Department of Administrative Science also offers two minors.
The minor in Business Administration is available to all non-business students and provides a strong background in the various business disciplines.
The Leadership minor is an interdisciplinary minor available to all students. This program allows students to focus on:
1) Individual Leadership
2) Team and Group Leadership
3) Organizational Leadership
Internships: Management and Industrial Relations students are encouraged to participate in our internship program. This program provides practical experience, opportunities for career exploration, and shows students how classroom theory is applied. These internship experiences develop the maturity and depth that employers desire.
