Our Mission
The Department of Theatre at Clarion University is an undergraduate program offering both the Bachelor of Arts and the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. The program provides classroom and practical experience that enriches the lives of the students and produces live theatre that enhances the cultural life of the University and the surrounding community. Education takes place not only in the classroom but also in theatrical laboratories and world at large.
We strive for excellence in classroom instruction; both in theory and practice of theatre and by presenting theatrical productions that represent the pursuit of excellence through a range of material representing the rich and diverse nature of theatre.
We assist students to unlock their potential and to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to flourish as cooperative empathetic artist and to develop a love of learning that will follow them through life.
We endeavor to provide a creative and collaborative working environment in which undergraduates receive the training and experience necessary to pursue careers in the professional theatre.
